After Ranger's passing to the great hiking trails in the skies, Buddy Harriger has agreed to continue The Roving Ranger page, in the hunt of great place for older dogs to explore the Denver area. The reviews shall now be called "Buddy's Best"
Ranger is exploring the Denver metro area for the best trails and hikes for Senior dogs.
He has rated them 1-4 howls based on smoothness and width of trail, amount of tree covered areas, things to see and do (bonus paw for stream or pond for cooling the paws), number of other dogs likely to be there, bicycles, etc...

3 howls!-Nice shaded trails. Lots of prairie dogs, rabbits, and birds to watch. Can be lots of other dogs on weekends (not all polite). A good walk with your older/slower humans.

3 howls!-Several trails, well shaded. nice wide paths. Lots of wildlife and smells to check out. Must be on a 5 foot leash, but a great place to explore with slower humans.
